Abduction Central Alert
Bell County 9-1-1 Communications is proud to
announce the introduction of a new software program that is available to every law
enforcement agency in Bell County to make immediate notifications, produce an accessible
data base, and build an internet web site whenever a child has been abducted or is
missing. The program was developed by the Child Alert Foundation, and the one-time
registration fee was donated by the Southern Cruisers Riding Club, Texas members !
Abduction Central Alert, developed
by the Child Alert Foundation, is designed to immediately notify designated points of
contact, which include but are not limited to radio stations, television stations,
newspapers, and public transportation agencies. Notification can be made via pagers,
faxes, voice mail, or e-mails within a matter of seconds of being activated. At the same
time notifications are being made, an internet-based web site is being created with
information on the missing child, any suspects, vehicle information, and a photograph, if
available.
Time is a missing childs greatest enemy !
Immediate notifications can be made to participating news media agencies, public
transportation companies, investigators, task forces, and many other individuals and/or
agencies. Abduction Central Alert is
an invaluable tool that will assist in the recovery of missing children.
