The Transylvania Sheriff's Department are not sitting idly by while the
Gosnell's work to raise funds to get CAF established in North Carolina. They are not only
working on spreading the word to other police departments in neighboring counties, they've
been actively selling raffle tickets and hosting their own events to raise funds.
Their first big benefit was a huge success...for CAF as well as the
police! Transylvania law enforcement officers sponsored and played in a baseball game
against WLOS TV (an ABC affiliate) and won, 41 to 17,
while raising $178!
The other big event of the evening was that the Gosnell's
presented Ashville police, Sgt., Doug Berner with the ACA Software and he was very excited
to have it for their department..
